RAIN WATER HARVESTING

Water is a scarce resource and it is essential for all form, of life. Conservation and preservation of water is of utmost importance. Demand of ground water is increasing due to committed surface water resources and further raise of demand for irrigation, drinking & industry sectors as it is easily available and reliable. On the other hand, rapid urbanization and land use changes has drastically reduced the infiltration rate into the soil and has diminished the natural recharging of aquifers by rainfall. This has lead to decline in water levels, depletion of groundwater resource and deterioration in groundwater quality.
